Applications are invited from suitably qualified Barbadians for the 2026 Errol Walton Barrow Scholarships at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, for students of newer secondary schools which may be awarded in the following areas:

  • Marine Studies
  • Aeronautics
  • Culinary Arts

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must:

  • be citizens of Barbados
  • have been accepted at an accredited institution

 

VALUE

The scholarship covers:

(a)     one (1) direct economy class ticket to the country of study at the commencement of the course, and one (1) return ticket to Barbados on completion of the programme.

(b)     Full tuition fees, payable directly to the University.

(c)      Living allowance of:

                                        $6,300.00 per annum for students pursuing studies in the USA.

                                        $5,880.00 per annum for students pursuing studies in Canada.

                                        $7,560.00 per annum for students pursuing studies in the United Kingdom.

OBLIGATION

Successful applicants will be required to enter a bond with sureties to return and work in Barbados on completion of the course, on the basis of one year for each year of the award.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
