To monitor all secondary schools to ensure that they are effectively managed. In addition, the section will assist institutions in strengthening policies and programmes to implement measureable, effective strategies for helping each child to achieve his or her potential in a safe and healthy environment.
The VISION for the Secondary Section is to ensure that all constituents: students, teachers, parents and the community are beneficiaries of sound education, training and healthy and psycho-social initiatives.
Secondary Education is available at Government Secondary schools, Government-Assisted Secondary schools, Private Secondary Schools and Public and Private Special Education Schools.
There are twenty-one (21) Government Secondary schools. Nineteen of these are co-educational and two (2) are single sex schools. The schools are listed below alphabetically with the single sex schools specially designated.
